Map and Directions

Bickley Coppice Scout and Guide Campsite is north west of Shrewsbury, Shropshire by the River Severn a short distance from the villages of Bicton and Montford Bridge.

Special Note

Although you can drive to the coppice, the lane is narrow and rough with no passing places.  Therefore, it is best to get parents to drop off near to the village hall in Bicton and walk the youngsters into the coppice.

How to Get There

  1. Turn off the A5 onto the B4380 for Montford Bridge.
  2. Go through Montford Bridge and cross the river Severn.
  3. Continue into Bicton and take the first left turn in the village towards the church.
    • For the drop off ONLY turn right in front of the church and follow the road for 100m.  The village hall is on the right.
  4. Follow the road straight on past the church and continue to the end of the tarmac and a red brick barn.
  5. Go past the LEFT side of the barn and turn left onto a narrow, hedge enclosed, rough track.
  6. Follow to a gate.  If the gate is closed please re-close it once you have passed through.
  7. Follow the track around to the right to a locked gate on the edge of the coppice.
